Se ha anunciado la preselección de los Premios de Fotografía de Arquitectura 2018. Este año ofrece una selección particularmente fuerte de imágenes del entorno construido, y los variados temas van desde brillantes nuevos rascacielos hasta estructuras en ruinas en la antigua Unión Soviética.
Los Premios anuales de fotografía de arquitectura (anteriormente los Premios Arcaid) se dividen en cuatro categorías: Exterior, Interior, Sentido de lugar y Edificios en uso, cada uno compuesto por cinco finalistas. Las 20 fotografías que conforman la lista corta se exhibirán en el Festival Mundial de Arquitectura en Ámsterdam entre el 28 y el 30 de noviembre, y el ganador será anunciado el 30. Los premios atrajeron entradas de 47 países, y la mayoría provino del Reino Unido.
El panel de jueces incluye al fotógrafo Richard Bryant, jefe de contenido de la agencia de fotografía Alamy Alan Capel, y al arquitecto James Timberlake de la práctica estadounidense Kieran Timberlake.
